Wests is passionate about providing its young club members with the skills needed to realise their full potential.

We provide training, mentoring and support to develop their game and successfully transition from junior teams to senior grade competition.

Pathway Academy
2022 sees the introduction of a new Pathway Academy for aspiring younger members. Players who express a desire to move up through the Grades and demonstrate improving abilities will be invited to join a select group of individuals. The academy is run by highly experienced coaches and works on refining player skills as well as the mental preparation needed to be successful in the higher grades. Training over 4 weeks in August, the academy offers a thorough warm up to the season ahead and equips players with the confidence to achieve their goals.

U21’s T20 Competition
Originally beginning in 1929/30 season this competition has changed formats and age groups to suit the ever evolving game we love.

Wests has a proud history claiming 9 titles since 1959/60 as Lambton New Lambton and later Wests, most recently in an exciting last over nail biting win 2021/22.

SG Moore Cup (U16’s)
The SG Moore Cup is an U/16s competition involving all grade clubs in which the best young cricketers get their first taste of grade cricket. Wins also contribute to the Club Championship. The matches are played as T20 fixtures and span 3 games plus finals. Players get the opportunity to play on first grade grounds and learn new skills to take into their grade careers.
